Back on the D-Train

We've returned from a much-needed three week vacation to the news that yet another (sucker of a) team has agreed to give Dontrelle Willis a shot at reviving his once-promising career.

The Cincinnati Reds have agreed to a minor league deal with the lefty, who has struggled, to say the least, over recent years.

Happy Trails, Jon Miller and Joe Morgan

Good news on the MLB announcing front today: after 21 years, Jon Miller and Joe Morgan will no longer be tag-teaming Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN.

The World Wide Leader's executive vice president had this to say in a prepared statement of total nonsense:
Over the last two decades, Joe went from Hall of Fame player to one of his sport’s top analysts and Jon’s Hall of Fame voice and tremendous knowledge of the game have connected with baseball fans everywhere. We owe them our deepest thanks for an outstanding body of work.

Matt Diaz Will Clobber You

Holy smokes, it's been a while huh. That was a fabulous vacation, but man did I miss you guys.

Anyways, what better way to get back into the biz than with a Youtube video of Matt Diaz clobbering a fan who ran out onto the field in, where else... Philadelphia.

Get on the TwinsTrain, Minnesota Fans!

Even the Tiger wanted to kick my ass.

Even though my hometown Minnesota Twins dropped this weekend's series to their American League Central rival Detroit Tigers and sunk to third place in the standings, I still had a blast watching both beat-downs on Friday and Saturday at Comerica Park on the TwinsTrain. Here are a few pictures and some details about the amazing trip...

Take Me Out To The Ballgame!

Ok, BLB readers. I know I've mentioned this before, but it is definitely worth mentioning again. Last week, I took a ride on the TwinsTrain, and I have to say, I am impressed. There's nothing like going to cheer on your team on another team's turf, even if they do get their asses handed to them like the Twins did in Milwaukee this past week. Yuck.

I just had to give Scott, the owner of TwinsTrain, a huge thumbs-up for arranging such an awesome trip. It's hard enough to find tickets, lodging, transportation, parking, food... etc., when you are trying to plan a baseball trip. I should know.

We're Back, Baby

Where do I even begin?!

While my thoughts remained on my Canadian Crusher's lung (and the Big Ticket's ticket out) most of the weekend, I couldn't help but plot the morbid deaths of the many telephone operators from my beloved ISP. Long story short, I've begun to use the term "customer service" loosely.

Now that all that nonsense is finally taken care of, it's time to talk some baseball. In fact, I can't type fast enough.

Anyway, it's great to be back online. Hopefully everyone didn't forget about us over here, because we'll have plenty of sweet baseball goodness coming your way this tomorrow afternoon.

And yes. We missed you, too.

Bon Voyage!

BLB will be out of commission most of the weekend.
And if anyone asks, I was with you.
