Welcome to Round One of the Rookie Card Playoffs, hosted by yours truly and Ian from SOX & Dawgs.
Check out these current players' rookie cards and pick your favorite - which could be based on absolutely anything. Perhaps the presence of a mustache. The top vote-getter will advance to Round Two and so on, until there is only one Rookie Card Champion of the World.
There will be 8 brackets of 5 in Round One - voting for this set ends Wednesday.

what awful set are the current cards from? is that what baseball cards look like now? i'm glad i don't collect anymore...
and i had to vote for bonds. the hat is priceless.
What brand are those brown cards. Those don't look familiar at all.
That's cause they aren't cards at all. We were too cheap to buy the 2007 editions and put them on the internet, so we went with the 2007 portraits instead.
Those Pirates hats were awesome - they should bring those back.
