It Was a Matter of Time Before Jim Hendry Got Canned

Tom Ricketts has seen enough. Jim Hendry has finally been fired after extending his team's World Series drought to 103 years.

The Chicago Cubs general manager has certainly had his ups and downs over the last nine seasons... mostly downs. Another disappointing end to another miserable season was the last straw for new owner Ricketts, who said it was time for a "fresh approach in our baseball leadership."

OMG Albert Pujols Hugged Jim Hendry, Cards Doomed

There are a whole new set of rumors swirling around Albert Pujols this week after the so-called "inappropriate" hug between two longtime rivals: the St. Louis Cardinals first baseman and Chicago Cubs general manager Jim Hendry.

Of course, we don't quite believe him, considering he should be on the hunt for a new cornerman since Carlos Pena signed only a one-year deal worth $10 million back in December.

However, Hendry said the hug was nothing but a greeting between two good friends and they discussed nothing but their families, no business:

Jim Hendry is not impressed with Milton Bradley. Still.

Even though the outfielder is no longer under his supervision since he joined the Seattle Mariners, the Chicago Cubs general manager felt the need to respond to Bradley's latest allegations that the club treated him like crap and the fans were a bunch of racists.

"I think it's time maybe Milton looked himself in the mirror," a slightly pissed off Hendry said Wednesday. "He just didn't swing the bat. He didn't get the job done. It's really unfortunate that you ... try to use the other areas for excuses."
