Saturday's Babelicious Scoreboard

Jeff Suppan, one of the three starting pitchers the St. Louis Cardinals (5-5) chose not to sign after winning their first World Series title in 24 years, pitched 6.1 good innings in a 3-2 Milwaukee Brewers (6-4) victory Friday. He allowed two runs on five hits and no walks, beating Kip Wells, who pretty much replaced him in the Cardinals' rotation.

Rickie Weeks hit the go-ahead two-run homer in the fifth inning for Milwaukee, snapping the Cards' four-game winning streak.
