Jason Jennings Has Hurt Himself

Houston Astros righthander Jason Jennings will miss his next start on Saturday. He's been diagnosed with tendinitis in the flexor muscle of his right elbow, after putting Jim Edmonds in a headlock while applying a tag last Sunday.

Actually, that's not how it happened at all. But he is scheduled for an MRI tomorrow in Houston and be evaluated at a later date.

The 2002 NL Rookie of the Year went 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts this season, including a 10-1 loss Saturday against St. Louis when he allowed three runs on five hits over six innings.

Veteran Woody Williams will assume Jennings' starting duties on Saturday as the Astros continue their series with the Phillies.
