Canseco Goes Yard in Debut, Spaceman Returns

Before Monday night, the last time Jose Canseco had hit a home run was in a Chicago White Sox uniform on October 3, 2001 off Mike Mussina. The former Bash Brother ended his slump by going yard in his first at bat for the Laredo Broncos in their 16-8 win over the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings of the independent United Baseball League.

Canseco, who is no stranger to the longball after cheating his way to 462 career homers in 17 big league seasons, signed a short-term, promotional contract with the Broncos to coach from the bench and serve as a designated hitter. Apparently, the 46-year-old reality television douche would also like to pitch.

Too bad he was evicted from his apartment last week since MLB "distroyed" his life...

Related and hilarious: Bill "Spaceman" Lee, who claims "everybody juiced in some way" has plotted a return to the mound at the tender age of 64. The former Boston Red Sox lefty will start the September 5 season finale for the Brockton Rox of the Can-American League.

I only wish the MLB's distruction of Jose is permanent. Unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be the case... How much HGH did he have to take in order park the baseball in an independent league?

Good thing he hit it out, doesn't seem he has any speed left in him. 30 seconds to complete the home run trot, that's Big Papi territory.
