What's that Sucking Sound?

Oh, it's just the Houston Astros.

The St. Louis Cardinals were the most recent team to beat the winless Astros, who dropped yet another game of the 2010 season to become the only team left in all of Major League Baseball without a victory.

Brad Penny and the Cardinals bullpen limited them to just four hits in the 2-1 loss, bringing Houston's record to an unfortunate 0-8 on the year. Though the season is still young, I'm sure Astros fans wouldn't mind seeing a W sometime soon.

Fat Elvis is looking more and more attractive every day.
"We miss Lance obviously," said pitcher Brett Myers, "but guys have got to step up, including myself."
Maybe he should knock it off with the premature fist-pumps after striking guys out in the seventh inning of a loss.

Of course, there is a silver lining to every cloud. Back in 1983, the team dropped their first nine games, but recovered to finish the season 85-77. If we know one thing about history, is that is repeats itself.

The Astros will attempt their first win of the season today when Bud Norris take the hill against Kyle Lohse and the Cards at 12:40pm.

Update: They won today, 5-1!

See?! At least right now there is one team worse than the Baltimore Orioles. *sigh* It's gonna be a long season.
