The Texas Rangers have locked up a solid middle infielder in Ian Kinsler, agreeing to a five-year, $22 million contract on Tuesday, including a club option worth roughly $10 million for the 2013 season. He made $390,708 in 2007.
The 24-year-old second baseman finished last season with a .263 batting average with 20 homers and 23 steals.
Shortstop Michael Young is headed into the second season of a five-year, $80 million extension, so the two are looking forward to the next few years together up the middle.
...and then there's today's Dugout, which is always hilarious.
