The Atlanta Braves have re-acquired Julio Franco. As a player... not a coach.
He's gonna be 49 next month. Forty-nine. Years old.
Franco was dumped by the New York Mets on July 12th after two years with the team, hitting .200 with one home run in just 50 at-bats this season.
He spent 5 seasons with the Braves, the best coming in 2004, when he actually hit .309.

Ricky Henderson thinks Julio should give it up.
That said, should the Atlanta bullpen need a fresh arm, I hear Jesse Orosco is waiting by the phone.
Man, some people just can't let go.
I need to check this to make sure, but I think that he will have the record for most seasons played if he plays next year...
He won't be the oldest though
