Arizona Diamondbacks rookie Alberto Callaspo was arrested Thursday for allegedly beating his wife. The 24-year-old utility infielder was taken into custody after a 911 call from his home around noon yesterday. His 22-year-old wife, Marianny Paola, had minor injuries.
On the advice of team president Derrick Hall, Callaspo did not fly to Houston with the D'Backs to begin a nine-game road trip today. However, facts are being gathered to determine exactly what went down and what action should be taken, if any, by the organization.
Callaspo is hitting .215 this season, and could possibly face a suspension, be put on the restricted list or optioned to the AAA Tucson Sidewinders for his actions.

Two rules I learned growing up -
1. Keep your fists off the girls and if your mad find a wall.
