Season Previews: Toronto Blue Jays

With Spring Training well underway, it's time for one of our favorite things in all the world: Season Previews. Five years ago, they began as a semi-serious analysis and ended up as half-assed haiku. We're just gonna go with what we know. Moving right along with our preview of the American League East, check out the one and only Canadian baseball team: the 2012 Toronto Blue Jays.

Ricky Romero

McGowan, Drabek

Got rid of John Rauch
Adios Frank Francisco

Got a few things wrong actually. Other than Lawrie absolutely being the full time 3rd bagger Snider is headed to the minors and was never, ever given consideration as the DH. That's what Encarnacion does (and backup fielder and 3rd base). Drabek's hard pressed to earn the 5th starter's role with McGowan showing strongly and even Laffey looking good. Expect to see him start in the minors.

Whoever does the depth charts for the Blue Jays is an idiot... apparently I should resort to Blue Jay Banter for my Canadian information!

Thanks for the comments. :)
