Season Previews: New York Mets
With Spring Training well underway, it's time for one of our favorite things in all the world: Season Previews. Five years ago, they began as a semi-serious analysis and ended up as half-assed haiku. We're just gonna go with what we know. Polishing off our preview of the National League East, here's our version of the 2012 New York Mets.
Johan Santana
Jon Niese and Mike Pelfrey are
Pitching with Dickey
Kevin Slowey and
He climbed Kilimanjaro
Got into trouble
Ike Davis at first
David Wright's the hot corner
He is delicious
Ruben Tejada
Turning DPs with Murphy
Ronny Cedeno?
Good riddance Jose
Thanks for the batting title
And breaking our hearts
Thole at the plate
Bay in left, Duda in right
Torres in center
Frank Francisco is
A badass strikeout machine
Jon Rauch is real... tall
The Mets have their work
Cut out for them this season
NL East looks tough

You girls do a great job! :-)
I'm not to concerned about our offense this season and I expect the Mets will score a lot of runs, but the defense scares me, as does the pitching. Plus I'm not totally convinced that the bullpen is as improved as some are reporting. Hopefully I'm wrong.
But on the bright side, new unis, new blue wall, and Mr. Met still is a bad-ass mascot!
