Season Previews: Washington Nationals
With Spring Training well underway, it's time for one of our favorite things in all the world: Season Previews. Five years ago, they began as a semi-serious analysis and ended up as half-assed haiku. We're just gonna go with what we know. Moving right along with our preview of the National League East, check out the 2012 Washington Nationals.
The Nationals aren't
Messing around any more
Did some winter work
Gio Gonzalez
The flame-throwing left-hander
Came by way of trade
Stephen Strasburg is
Ready for a full season
Try not to hurt him
Edwin Jackson and
Jordan Zimmermann along
With John Lannan too
And Chien-Ming Wang...
We know it is pronounced "Wong"
Funnier in print
Closer Drew Storen
Had 43 saves last year
Not too bad big guy
Bryce Harper in right
He should really tone it down
With all the eye black
Ramos behind home
Adam LaRoche holds down first
Zimmerman at third
And second fiddle:
Mark DeRosa's been around
Fourteen years, six teams
Ian Desmond and
Danny Espinosa are
The double play team
The Nats are a force
To be reckoned with in the
Badass NL East

What is UP with all the eye black? He looks ridiculous.
Maybe he'll grow out of it once he hits puberty. Or maybe he just has sensitive eyes.
