These Tampa Bay Rays are officially the best Tampa Bay Rays of all time.
The club enjoyed its 71st victory in the form of an 11-3 rout of the Seattle Mariners on Sunday to become the winningest team in franchise history. Tampa Bay's previous best record of 70-92 (2004) is sure to be shattered this season, as they've taken a 4.5-game lead over the Boston Red Sox in the AL East for their largest margin in over a month.
Also, Carl Crawford is gone, but Rocco Baldelli is back. Ya win some, ya lose some.

Rocco Baldelli just got hurt again.
*surprised no one has said anything yet*
Ok, I don't want to jinx anything or get ahead of ourselves.. But...
Will the universe implode if neither Boston or NY make the playoffs? Will ESPN stop covering baseball? Will the sun stop shining?
I hope not, because it would be pretty sweet if for the first time since the history of ever that neither of them made it.. sorry AL east lovers. But small market teams are due for some love!
The MLB understands that small market teams need love; afterall, the MLB stands to lose money as horrible teams continue to blow. With that said, does anyone else think its strange that almost every expansion team has made it to or has won a world series? While 100 year old teams may have won less than 2 or 3 in their entire existance?! Conspiracy anyone? lol
