Mike Maroth Heads to St. Louis
Considering the devastating injuries to their starting rotation, the St. Louis Cardinals have been forced to turn to Anthony Reyes and Kip Wells, who hold a combined 2-19 record.
To try and help matters, the Cards have acquired lefty Mike Maroth from the Detroit Tigers for an unknown player and/or amount.
Maroth is 5-2 in 13 starts with a 5.06 ERA this season. He has a career 50-62 record and 4.81 ERA over six big league seasons, all spent in Motown.

I think this was more of a "oh shit, Kenny Rogers is healthy again and we can't send anyone down to the minors" move.
define healthy.
No.
Good move for the Cards
Good Luck to Mike with the Cards!!
This Tiger fan hopes that you prove the team wrong for trading you away instead of the Rotissire Grilli.
Wow, this really ticks me off right now, but I'll get over it eventually.
I don't think Maroth is really that bad. He played for Detroit when they were really bad too. His overall record is not that awful considering that.
