Huston Street Lands on the DL
The Oakland Athletics placed Huston Street on the 15-day disabled list today with irritation in his right ulnar nerve, retroactive to Sunday. Thankfully, initial tests showed no structural damage.
The 23-year-old righty is 2-1 with a 2.50 ERA in 18 relief appearances, recording all nine of Oakland's saves this year. He has not given up a run in 15 of his 18 outings this year.
Street joins a list of six other Athletics on the DL, including hurlers Rich Harden and Esteban Loaiza and DH Mike Piazza. The pitching injuries, which were supposed to be devastating, have the A's leading the American League with a 3.15 team ERA.
Related, Oakland purchased the contract of right-hander Connor Robertson from the AAA Sacramento Rivercats. Robertson was 4-0 with two saves and a 1.93 ERA in 15 relief appearances there.

Is it even possible to have a hotter team? I think not.
Probably not. Unless you're the Twins.
