Babes Love Blogging

Props to Suzy for giving me this chance to add my two cents to anything and everything that is Twins Baseball. Now let's get down to business. Since I live in Chicago I figured I'd be prepared to give my take on the upcoming series in Chi-Town against the stinky White Sox.
On Friday we have Brad "Roy Hobbs" Radke squaring off against Javier "Big Inning" Vasquez. Prediction: Twins win 26-1 with the lone run coming off of 4 consecutive hit batsman. OK OK that probably might not happen. But seriously, I like our chances here as Radke has always pitched well at US Cellular Field. If he gets to the 4th inning unscathed then he will cruise through the 7th with a lead and then you put your Rincon in, you take your Rincon out, you put your Nathan in, and you shake it all about - you get back on the bus with a big fat victory and that's what it's all about!

Saturday - Johan Santana vs. Jose Contreras - This one's a no brainer or as I like to call it a no brianer. The question that needs to be asked here is, will Johan get 10 K's or 20 K's? Oh and don't rule out a no hitter cuz when this stud is pitching there is always a chance.

Finally on sunday in the matinee Carlos "Dead Sexy" Silva versus Mark "NEEDS A SHAVE" Buerhle. It's always the same with Carlos - pitch low in the zone and he will be effective - miss high and he will be serving up taters all game. This is likely a Redmond caught game so Mike put your glove on the ground if you want a low pitch - that should help some. It goes without saying that Carlos has been a huge benfactor of incredible run support over his last ohh 7 starts. Let's hope the bats come alive for this one.

Overall outlook - Twins win series 2 Games to 1 and overtake White Sox by a game and a half in the Wild Card Race. Lord know's I want to say SWEEP but I've been in Chicago for over 10 years and I can't remember a time when the Twins Swept the SOX in Chicago TWICE in one year. That being said, they are due so go out and prove me wrong.

First of all..I pretty much laughed out loud when I read "and then you put your Rincon in, you take your Rincon out, you put your Nathan in, and you shake it all about" being I pretty much had no idea that was coming. As for Brad Radke, if he can somehow manage to pitch through that shoulder of his, we'll be alright. Can't imagine him living much longer with that thing though. But he's a fighter. The only thing that worries me about Johan Santana is lack of run support, because we tend to do that to him at times, important times. And Silva..we just need him to live through that day. I'll be pretty nervous with him pitching. But lets play our best..this series is HUGE.

Ugh. So this is my second time in two days that I've had a nice big comment all written out and it doesn't make it all the way through..lol. Don't feel like saying the same things I did before, so we'll move on. Anyway, great job joemantle. As for this upcoming series..it's HUGE. We're lucky we get to have our two best pitchers going against the White Sox. And as for WordUpThome, can't say I'm too sad to see him hurting...as mean as that sounds. But hey, he's always been a Twins killer.
