Season Previews: St. Louis Cardinals
With Spring Training already underway, it's time for one of our favorite things in all the world: Season Previews. Four years ago, they began as a semi-serious analysis and ended up as half-assed haiku. We're just gonna go with what we know. Continuing on with our preview of the National League Central, here are the St. Louis Cardinals.
Tony La Russa
Likes puppies and kitty cats

Big news with Pujols
Is that there is no big news
Are Cards fans spazzing?
Oh yeah and then there's
Adam Wainwright's Tommy John
This is not good news
There's always Kyle Lohse
And there's always Jake Westbrook
And Ryan Franklin!
Skip Schumaker is
Pretty damn adorable
So is The Riot
Fat Elvis in right
Colby Rasmus in center
Holliday in left
David Freese at third
Yadier Molina and
Laird behind the plate
Nick Punto will dive
Headlong down the first baseline
When he gets better
Second to the Reds
Big Mac to school the hitters
Put them back on top!

I love this picture.
Chihuahuas do not count as dogs.
As a lifelong Cards fan, I'm going to serious it up for a second or three...
~ Pujols will play his last game as a Cardinal on September 28th(they will not make the playoffs. Book it)
~ Chris Carpenter will not make it through the season
~ The Lance Berkman in RF experiment will fail miserably
~ David Freese will fall off the wagon/down the dugout steps and screw up one, or both of his ankles; again
~ Colby Rasmus' father will finally get his wish when his son is traded to the Royals/Orioles at the deadline for yet another undeveloped minor league pitcher(the Cards FO's forte)
~ Nick Punto will not play until mid-July, at the earliest, because the team's joke of a medical staff will somehow screw up his rehab.
Other than that, it's going to be a great season!
