Season Previews: Kansas City Royals
With Opening Day just a couple days away, we're finishing up with one of our favorite things in all the world: Season Previews. Four years ago, they began as a semi-serious analysis and ended up as half-assed haiku. We're just gonna go with what we know. Moving right along with our preview of the American League Central, here are the Kansas City Royals.
Sweet motorcyle
I would ride it even though
I am a Twins fan
Kauffman Stadium
In the middle of nowhere
Beautiful ballpark
No more Zack Greinke
For that win every fifth game
There's Hochevar though!
And Francis is good
Has one of those high leg kicks
He's Canadian
Bruce Chen's a lefty
Mazarro and Davies aren't
So long Gilbert Meche
Joakim Soria
Was drafted on all my teams
He's super awesome
Melky Cabrera
Plays center field in KC
Francoeur's in right now
Gordon in left field
Escobar and Aviles
Right up the middle
Betemit at third
Kila Ka'aihue has
A fun name to say
Butler DH's
Matt Treanor behind the plate
Just dealt by Texas
The Royals ended
Last season in the basement
Will they climb out now?

I think the Royals will have a better record in 2011, but I think they'll still be fifth in the division. It's one of the toughest in baseball, and I really don't see them being that much better than the Indians, sadly.
