Juan Uribe has done the unthinkable.
The second baseman finalized a three-year, $21 million deal Tuesday with his old team's most hated rival: the Los Angeles Dodgers. Uribe was offered arbitration to the tune of $20 million over three years last week by the San Francisco Giants, but it wasn't enough to keep their Championship team in tact.
However, he didn't bash the Bay Area when he left...
I have nothing bad to say about the Giants. I was very happy with how the fans treated me and how the Giants treated me. As far as leaving, I have no control over the teams I play for.The two-time World Series winner batted .248 with a career-best 24 longballs and 85 RBI over 148 games last season, including 103 at shortstop. More importantly, he came in clutch by going yard and driving i n five runs during the World Series for a total of nine RBI during the Giants' postseason
Uribe is expected to play second as well as platoon third base with Casey Blake and see some time at shortstop in 2011. Meanwhile, the Giants have signed veteran Miguel Tejada to a one-year contract worth $6.5 million with the intention of making him their everyday shortstop.

He left the Giants for an extra $333,000 a year? I feel like there's something more to the story here. Maybe he didn't get along well with the management...
Actually, he's going to be the starting second baseman.
