San Francisco, Arlington Mayors Place Bets

The Mayor of Arlington, Robert Cluck, and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom -- who has declared San Francisco Giants Pride Week -- have put a friendly wager on the World Series.

Each of them has agreed that if their team loses, they will provide a day's worth of community service to the winner's city. What makes this bet even more awesome is that the loser will be donning a jersey of the opposing winning team.

Wait. There's more.

The losing mayor will also send some hometown deliciousness the winner's way. If the Giants lose, Newsom will ship Dungeness crab, sourdough bread, Ghirardelli chocolate (mmmm) and Anchor Steam beer (mmmmmmmm) all the way to Arlington. Now we're talkin'.

If the Rangers lose, Cluck will mail some good old fashioned Spring Creek BBQ, which he says is the best in Texas.

Game 1 is all set for Wednesday night at 7:30pm ET, with Tim Lincecum taking the hill against Cliff Lee. We are more than excited for that hyped to the hills pitching matchup.
