Ken Rosenthal has reported that the Nats skipper will be out of work by the end of the week and be replaced by bench coach Jim Riggleman. Neither coaches seem to know anything about anything, however.
Kasten skirted the question of Acta's job security, as well.
We're certainly not satisfied with our record... far from it. We're distraught over it and we're going to consider everything we need to do to make it better.Acta, in his third season with the team, doesn't have a lot to work with. His starting rotation consists of four rookies, his defense leads the big leagues in errors, and the team as a whole hasn't strung two wins together since the first week of May. Ouch.
Acta has a career .387 winning percentage, bringing his managing record to 148-234. Sounds like a good fall guy to me.

And Ken Macha chuckles.
Wow, nice site. You guys are on to something! This site is top notch and the ladies at the site have some great sports knowledge to share...I am going to add your link to my blog, it's still new, but hope to be up to your level soon :)

I actually feel bad for Acta. It's not like he's been given much to work with, but seriously, at this rate they're not even going to win 60 games this season. YIKES!
Acta's taking the fall for a team that is really, really bad. I mean, who's going to win with that roster?
That said, hopefully Acta's record isn't held against him in the future... he's deserving of a managing job with a team that has talent. (Sorry if I just insulted Nats fans... but having been a Pirates fan for long enough, I know neither the Pirates nor the Nats have much talent on the team.)
I can't seem to find the bloggers' contact info anywhere on the site. Am I missing something? Could you post a contact?
Nats are a joke. There's already buzz in DC about them getting the #1 overall pick again in next year's draft. Unreal!
Shit, Joe Torre could not win in Washington...Acta takes the fall...
