Cristian Guzman, the Washington Nationals lone 2008 All-Star, has been handed a two-year contract extension worth $16 million.
Batting .307 with 5 homers and 34 RBI over 97 games this season, the switch-hitting shortstop led the National League with 129 hits headed into Wednesday. He also has 3 stolen bases and... is just an all-around nice guy?

Remember that one time Guzman sucked at baseball? Oh that's right, he still pretty much does.
He was good at one time. I think he was an All-Star in 2001 with the Twins. Leading the NL in hits is a pretty big feat, too.
The Nationals are the new Bengals.
Bad deal... The Nationals will regret this deal -- if and when his numbers dip back to his career levels...
