Who Hasn't Wanted to Choke Their Boss?

Houston Astros righty Shawn Chacon, demoted to the bullpen over the weekend, was suspended indefinitely after he went all Sprewell on Ed Wade Wednesday.

Before we go jumping to conclusions and whatnot, let's all reflect on our daily work-related tasks. When your boss goes ahead and has to ask you to come in on Saturday, the urge to choke him/her is sometimes provoked. It's only natural.

My favorite part of Chacon's explanation?
"Words were exchanged."
His ERA was over 5.00 anyhow.

Update: Totally put on waivers Thursday.

Every day of my life. Today is the perfect example.

There is a time and a place for choking your boss, and the lunchroom is certainly not one of those places.

It's not like this was a big loss for the 'Stros. Like you mentioned, his ERA was over 5.00 and he had already been demoted to the bullpen. Pretty worthless if you ask me.

Just being made to wear one of the jerseys is a pretty good reason to choke someone...

As of today, Chacon has been put on waivers, the next step is to release him outright. He'll not get paid anymore, either. Anyone remember Latrell Sprewell? He did the same thing, actually got hired by another team, but then whined about being insulted by a $14 million contract offer, and nobody touched him. He's unemployed, lost his boat, his home. Hope Chacon has other marketable skills besides basball, he's gonna need 'em.
