Braves Fan Drinks and Dives

Terrible news in Atlanta...a Braves fan died Wednesday after falling 150 feet from the club level at Turner Field.

From the AP:

Alcohol was a factor in the death of a 25-year-old man who fell down a stairwell at Turner Field during the game between the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets.

Justin Hayes of Cumming, Ga., suffered head injuries Wednesday night and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. He fell about 150 feet from the club level to the landing on the field level during the eighth inning.

Not much left to say after that.

Not much to say after that??!! How about condolenses to the many lives he touched during his short lived life?? Have some compassion. This man was a saint and it's true when they say bad things happen to good people.

It's definitely a sad thing to have happened. We were doing our best to keep up with news on the story last night and hoping for the best. Very unfortunate.

Now update the Chipper graphic to 398 ;)

Chill out... she was just reporting on what happened. So yeah, there wasn't really anything left to say. It's a sad situation, but posting anything else would not have changed the situation, nor made it less tragic, nor lessened the grief on the man's loved ones.

Thanks, Sarah, for keeping it short and to the point, keeping us informed, and not embellishing on anything that couldn't really have had anything substantive added to it.

I was at that game and left wondering what the ambulance had come for. Later that night we got the news and it's a creepy feeling to have been at that particular event.

It is very sad but thanks, girls, for a little homage for what happened in our town. I'm not sure but I think "anonymous" may have known the young man who passed so be easy on that individual.
