In an attempt to turn a sweet double play at second, Wilson was up-ended by the Astros' Ty Wigginton.
Wilson writhed in pain on the ground for a while, surrounded by his teammates and medical staff, before eventually being helped to his feet and limping off the field with the trainers.
The former Pirate Wigginton, who felt terrible about the high slide, phoned Wilson postgame to apologize. The two were teammates in 2005.
The Bucs went on to win 4-1, thanks in large part to Jose Bautista's two longballs and Matt Morris' stellar pitching performance. They have gone 15-9 thus far in August, have won four straight and seven of the past eight games.

poor Jack. He's probably getting traded anyway. Did you ever notice how much he looks like Steve-O from Jackass?
