Alex Rodriguez: Swingin' Hard Lumber

The New York Yankees have hit 13 home runs in their last two games, tying a record for most longballs in a two-game span set in 1939.

Four different Bronx Bombers hit one or two out of the yard, but none of them were named Alex Rodriguez.

Not only has A-Rod not hit a homer, but he is hitless since he went deep in Kansas City last Wednesday, dropping his season average to .295.

That's 0-for-19 in one week.

What are the chances he will finally hit #500 off Jon Garland this afternoon at Yankee Stadium? Well, he's hit 2 career homers off Garland and has a .406 average after going 13-for-32 with 7 RBIs and 5 walks lifetime against the righty.

So, probably not?

Are you trying to say A-Rod is impotent?

Derek Jeter begs to differ.

How poetic would it be if ARod hit is 500th dinger off of Jon Garland on the same day he dressed up like Judy Garland for the 500th time?

It would be poetic... in a creepy sort of way.

he's gonna hit it next week. Bonds is going to either tie or break the record, ARod is going to hit 500 and its all going to happen on the same day as Glavine's 30th win. Its going to be a creepy historic day.

Then the Cubs are going to win the World Series this year and the world is going to end
