Sal Fasano Out With Groin Injury
Toronto Blue Jays catcher Sal Fasano left last night's game against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the eighth inning with a sore groin and was replaced by Jason Phillips.
Fasano initially hurt himself running the bases when he doubled and scored in the seventh, but aggravated the injury as he chased down a passed ball that allowed Carl Crawford to reach in the eighth.
Fasano remained in the game for three more batters before Phillips took over. He will reevaluated today and is day-to-day.
Fasano is batting .179 with one home run and three RBIs in 14 games for the Jays this season.
