Is there anything greater than baseball on a Sunday afternoon?
The Cleveland Indians (17-10) will put left-hander C.C. Sabathia on the mound this afternoon when they face converted reliever Brian Burres and the Baltimore Orioles (14-16) at 1:35pm ET in game three of the four-game set.
The Tribe have cruised to 7 games over .500 but have dropped two straight to the O's, who had lost 9 of their previous 10 contests.
Sabathia is off to the hottest start of his seven-year career, searching for his fifth W today. He is 4-0 with a 2.20 ERA in eight starts against Baltimore and has allowed just three runs in his last four outings against them.
The left-handed Burres will make his first career start as he takes the place of Adam Loewen, who will miss most of the season with a stress fracture in his elbow. Burres has allowed two runs over 13.1 innings in six relief appearances for the O's and didn't allow a hit while striking out six in four scoreless innings at Cleveland last Sunday.
Victor Martinez went 3-for-4 with a three-run shot Saturday for the Indians to raise his average to .338.

Major League baseball has an extra special treat for us this evening.
Cole Hamels and the Philadelphia Phillies (13-17) will face Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants (16-13) in the finale of a four-game series at 8:05pm ET tonight.
Hamels' best outing of his career came on the road against the Cincinnati Reds on April 21st, when he pitched a five-hitter with 15 strikeouts in a 4-1 win. However, the 23-year-old lefty is 1-1 with a 5.68 ERA and just 10 strikeouts in his two previous starts. Hamels has never faced the Giants, and won't get the chance to surrender #745 to Barry Bonds, as he is expected to be out of the lineup.
Selected 10th overall in the 2006 first-year player draft from Washington, Lincecum has been dominating this year with the AAA Fresno Grizzlies. Over five starts, the 22-year-old righty was 4-0 with an 0.29 ERA, allowing only one run and 12 hits over 31 innings of work. He's also struck out 46, including 14 last Sunday against Colorado Springs.

Sorry Sooze regarding Lincecum. I've had him on my radar for sometime. Can't wait to see this stud pitch.
