After missing most of last season with nerve problems in his elbow, Washington Nationals right-hander John Patterson was placed on the 15-day disabled list once again Sunday, this time due to right elbow inflammation. He was pulled from Saturday's start against the Chicago Cubs after two innings due to pain in his right biceps.
While Patterson made his way to the DL, shortstop Cristian Guzman (hammy) and outfielder Nook Logan (foot) were activated after Sunday's game.
Guz and Logan were each injured on Opening Day and have been working out with the Nats' extended Spring Training program.
Meanwhile, Washington sent outfielder Michael Restovich to the AAA Columbus Clippers since he can't seem to stop sucking at baseball. Restovich was hitting just .143 with one RBI over 15 games.

I'm shock there's nothing wrong with his hammy with a wind-up like that!
No doubt! He's young and spry, though. What's really schocking is that El Duque can still stretch that well.
