Arthur Rhodes has somehow managed to land himself on the disabled list without even pitching a single game this season.
The Mariners placed the veteran lefty on the 15-day DL on Tuesday (retroactive to April 4th), citing inflammation in his pitching elbow.
The 37-year-old Rhodes arrived at Seattle's Spring Training camp as a non-roster invitee before making the club when he posted a 2.57 ERA in eight appearances. Beginning his 17th season in the majors, Rhodes owns a career 75-60 record with 30 saves and a 4.31 ERA in 653 games.
