Season Previews: Detroit Tigers

With another baseball season just around the corner, it's time for one of our favorite things in all the world: Season Previews. Five years ago, they began as a semi-serious analysis and ended up as half-assed haiku. We're just gonna go with what we know. Kicking off our preview of the American League Central, check out the 2012 Detroit Tigers.

Check out Prince Fielder
He's a Detroit Tiger now
Cabrera's at third

Raburn at second
Santiago plays backup
Got a sweet deal

Jhonny Peralta
Spells his name wrong but at least
His name isn't Clete

Alex Avila
Is the starting backstop and
Gerald Laird backs up

Justin Verlander
Hasn't thrown a perfect game
Or hit that either

But he's still the best
We love Max Scherzer, and Rick
Love Doug Fister's name

Jose Valverde
Scariest closer ever?
He's an animal

Al Alburquerque
Benoit, Dotel, and Phil Coke
Balester, Schlereth

Delmon Young in left
Austin Jackson in center
Brennan Bosch in right

And if any of
Those guys get hurt, there's always
Dirks and Don Kelly

We have a feeling
The Tigers win the central
In 2012
