Los Angeles Dodgers troubled and possibly mentally-ill slugger Manny Ramirez, enjoying a 50-game suspension after failing at life, was welcomed back to baseball with open arms and loud cheers in Albuquerque this week.
Suiting up in #99 for the AAA Dodgers affiliate Isotopes on Tuesday, Manny went hitless in two at bats as they beat the Nashville Sounds, 1-0. Good news for the Isotopes however, as they saw a record crowd of 15,321, most coming to see the grounded outfielder and some even sporting fake dreads.
Though Ramirez vowed to stay away from reporters until he's eligible to return to the Dodgers lineup on July 3rd, Manny just couldn't help but be Manny.
"People love me everywhere I go," he said. "I’m excited to bring a lot of joy to a lot of people here. I feel good. I’m happy that I’m here."And he's modest, too.

I love the tag of "blah blah steroids"
Haha, that's honestly how I feel at this point.
What a tard.
"What a tard"
I second that.
Everyone loves him everywhere he goes? This guy is dillusional...or maybe it was just the 'roids.
Why is he even playing? Shouldn't 50 games mean 50 games? Sit your ass down until July 3, Corky. Don't give me this BS about having to stay in shape. You should've thought about that when you started putting questionable substances in your body. You live in the land of fitness. Go pump some iron on Venice Beach or lift at Gold's. UGHHHHH
I think MLB should be ashamed - having fans pay to go see him was their major objective in letting Manny come back to baseball BEFORE his "50" games - all about the money - shame on all who touted him, he's scum!
