One More For the Road

The Chicago White Sox, who have played some pretty crappy baseball as of late, will host the Detroit Tigers Monday afternoon with a makeup game for one last shot at tying the Minnesota Twins for the American League Central division title.

If the Sox manage to pull that one off, they'll play a Tuesday tie-breaker against the Twins, who swept them over the weekend to gain a half-game lead.

Gavin Floyd will take the hill for the Sox opposite Detroit's Freddy Garcia, who just so happened to have won three games for Chicago during the 2005 playoffs, including the clinching Game 4 of the World Series against the Houston Astros.

As for the rest of baseball? We wait for Ozzie Guillen's head to explode.

TORTURE.
I've never wished so much for Jim Leyland to lead those guys to a victory of ass kicking proportions more than i have now.

Yes, this would be at least a little revenge for the Tigers. What a disappointing year for the fans.

I'm a Twins fan stuck in Illinois... with very little faith in Leyland and the Tigers.
