Cliff Lee is Still Kicking Ass

Hammerin' Hank Aaron breaks Babe Ruth's all-time home run record as an Atlanta Brave by hitting his 715th career homer off Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Al Downing at Fulton County Stadium.

Richard Nixon announces his resignation following the infamous Watergate scandal.

The first Volkswagon Rabbit was produced.

People smoked a lot of grass and dropped lots of acid. Hippies.

The year was 1974 and it marks the last time a Cleveland Indians pitcher -- Gaylord Perry -- reached 20 wins.

Can we say enough great things about Cliff Lee's season? Probably.

Exactly one year after being called back up from the minors, the Tribe's lefty ace reached 20 wins Monday with a 5-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Lee, sporting a 2.32 ERA, allowed two singles to kick off the first inning before retiring 21 straight for his fourth complete game. Way to go, buddy!

Also noteworthy, the AL Central-leading Sox have been shutout 11 times this season, which ties the league-high.
