Congratulations to Mike Hampton on earning his first victory since August 14, 2005, leading the Atlanta Braves past the San Francisco Giants 11-4 Tuesday night. And he did it all without hurting himself.
Not even a hangnail.
The oft-injured lefty, who hadn't lasted more than five innings in three years, allowed two runs on four hits over seven solid innings, lowering his ERA from 10.00 to 6.75. To make things even more magical, he nailed an RBI double in the fifth for his third run of the year.
Way to go, buddy!
