Dontrelle Willis sucks so bad right now, that the Detroit Tigers have sent their once-possible ace down to the Class A Lakeland Flying Tigers, in search of a little something called control.
This is what happens when you surrender eight earned runs and five walks in just 1.1 innings against the division rival Cleveland Indians, who are also horrible right now. Except Cliff Lee, who is the American League's first 10-game winner.
This is not, however, the way things were supposed to go down for the lefty after he was signed to a three-year, $23 million deal last December. Specifically, unacceptable shenanigans such as walking 21 batters over 11.1 innings have kept him from gaining any fans in the Motor City. Willis finished this stint in the majors with an 0-1 record and 10.32 ERA.

HAha!
I wish D-Train played for Tampa Bay. I would like to see this guy scrap it out in a bench clearing brawl against Boston. Specifically, I would like to see the D-Train rail Crisp...just once.
The Majors straight to Class A.
Ouch! Talk about a demotion.
He was only ever going to an ace in the NL.
going to BE an ace, I meant. I think I need to sober up a bit before posting again.
Dude, who else was going to be our ace? Verlander? Bonderman? ROGERS? Don't think so. Dontrelle was supposed to be seasoned and ready to bounce back. Big disappointment for Detroit fans.
verlander is the ace, and his record might show it if they gave him any run support at all. cabrera was the real player in that trade, and he has been a disappointment too.
we already know this season is over in Detroit...
huge letdown...let dontrelle stay the rest of the year in the minors
won't matter anyways
I think Dontrell is out of shape enough that he cannot do his famous windup and need to go to A ball lose a few pounds and refind his wind up and control until then see ya D Train!
