Kerwin Danley was smoked in the jaw by a pitch Saturday during the Los Angeles Dodgers-Colorado Rockies game, having to leave the field in an ambulance. He lost consciousness for a moment, but was aware of his surroundings when he was loaded onto the stretcher and placed in the emergency vehicle.
Danley, who has been umping since 1998, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for precautionary measures, including a CT scan.
