Barry Bonds: Getting Picked Last

With just three days until the beginning of the season, Barry Bonds still finds himself unsigned.

In a moment of denial, the Home Run King claims he will not retire.
"I’m working out. I’m training. If my phone rings, it rings. If it don’t, it don’t. I have a cell phone. I have a Blackberry. They work. If something comes up, I’m sure they’ll let me know. I’ll come back in July if I have to. It depends on the circumstances."
In fact, the only offer he's had so far was from the Class-A Lake Elsinore Storm -- affiliate of the San Diego Padres -- to work in media relations. The club released a statement saying they proposed "a cushy Media Relations position, full use of baseball facilities and of course expanded cubicle space with barcalounger and plasma TV."

In other Bonds news, his perjury case has been delayed for three months, with prosecutors telling U.S. District Judge Susan Illston they plan to obtain a new indictment. Good times.

Stick a fork in him, I think he's done!

I really don't think he or the Rocket will be back.

Careful where you stick that fork; you may not get a preper reading as to whether he is done or not. You might find some dead tissue created by multiple syring injections.
