Chuck Knoblauch Blows Off Congress

It's one thing to blow off a stupid birthday party or baby shower, but when Congress invites you to a soirée, you'd better show up. Punctually. With bells on.

Such was not the case with former big leaguer and alleged steroids-user, Chuck Knoblauch. He was subpoenaed Tuesday by a congressional committee investigating steroids in baseball after he didn't respond to an invitation to participate voluntarily in a deposition.

Tsk, tsk.

Knob isn't the only one who got the invite. Roger Clemens is set to discuss his knowledge of roids in the game to Saturday, followed by New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte on Jan. 30th. Brian McNamee, the former personal trainer for Clemens and Pettitte, is supposed to meet with staff on Jan. 31st, and former New York Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski is scheduled to appear Feb. 1st.

Good times are sure to be had by all in attendance.

I wonder if they would allow smoke inside the hearing. I would totally get baked and eat doritos afterward.
