Retired first baseman David Segui conveniently admitted Monday that he used and bought steroids from former New York Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski, who pleaded guilty in April to federal charges of illegally distributing performance-enhancing drugs. With George Mitchell's 'Roids Report under MLB scrutiny Tuesday afternoon and due to go public in the next couple of days, the timing of Segui's admittance couldn't be better.
He claims to have refused to talk with the former Senate Majority Leader regarding other players' use by pulling out the old, "I have nothing to hide" bit.
Except he did have something to hide: the shameful use of performance-enhancing drugs.
Segui, who spent over half of his 15-year career with the Baltimore Orioles, boasted, "I do know a lot, but people have told me things in confidence and I don't want to be spreading that."
We'll patiently await your tell-all book's release.

I CAN'T WAIT for the Roids Report to surface. CAN'T. WAIT.
Another proud Orioles moment. It will not make a difference whose name is mentioned, the whole investigation is a joke...
The idea that steroids has destroyed baseball ignores that multiple substances over 60 years time have been present. And that is just the reality. You pick a star from the mid 40's on, and chances are they did something.
