Kenny Lofton's Still Got It

Jake Westbrook, taking a shutout into the seventh inning, led the Cleveland Indians to a 4-2 victory over Boston Red Sox Monday night to give his club a 2-1 edge in the ALCS.

Kenny Lofton backed up Westbrook with a two-run homer in the second off pricy Japanese rookie Daisuke Matsuzaka.
When the 40-year-old Lofton was asked if he felt his age, the old fart replied, "No. I feel 25."
The Tribe tacked on two more runs in the fifth off Dice-K, who surely has the Boston Big Dogs shaking their heads in shame at the $100 million investment.

The only Boston scoring came by way of backstop Jason Varitek, who hit a two-run bomb in the seventh inning.

With two more games to be played in Cleveland, the Indians are in control of the best-of-seven series, heading into Game 4 at Jacobs Field tonight. Cleveland's old-schooler Paul Byrd will take the hill against 41-year-old veteran knuckleballer Tim Wakefield, who hasn't pitched Sept. 29th.
