Oh, man.
If there's one thing that BLB lacked before today, it was true love for the National League. In an attempt to turn our threesome into an armada, we've rounded up the lovely Texas Gal to join the ranks.
She's a pistol, she's a fan and she's gonna rock your Sox off. Once again, we've come up with some burning questions which you can find her answers to after the jump.
Readers, if you haven't already had the pleasure, meet Melissa.
Favorite ball club?
Chicago Cubs. Philadelphia Phillies. Boston Red Sox. Yep, I have three favorite baseball teams- thereby breaking every single rule of baseball fandom.
Favorite player and why?Of all-time? Roger Clemens. I'm nothing if not a sucker for a Texan with a giant attitude and the skills to back it up. Close second is Nolan Ryan, same reasons.
Since Rog is back in Yank pinstripes, I have to say that my current favorites are Aaron Rowand (grinder), Jonathan Papelbon (hilarious), and Josh Beckett (there's that Texas attitude again).
What do you hope to bring to BLB?
Some love for the National League- y'all are all AL women. Oh, and bourbon- my treat!
What would you do if your team won the World Series?Party like it's 1908. Or 1980. Or 2004.
If you had one wish -- please be selfish -- what would it be?
Condo in Clearwater, FL and a boss who would let me take 6 weeks off for spring training every year.
Yep. We love her, too. If you're not familiar with Melissa's work, you can certainly find more from her at Ladies... and Center Field - both highly recommended stops for leisurely sports reading.
*HOT LINK* Some unexpected and all-over pleasant RandBall lovin'.

Welcome Melissa!!
Hey, that's smart, liking 3 teams. That triples your chances of a World Series every year!
Welcome to the party, Melissa.
You know, for some reason when Sarah's picture went up, I thought it was Texas Gal. It was foreshadowing! Now that you all are take over the blogging world, how can I survive the coming purge? Maybe do a links column on Wednesdays or sell advertising? ha.
Thanks, everyone- and Sooze, Lizzy and Sarah for letting me crash the party.
HIZZAH! It is now official!
A marriage made in heaven! And more NL, BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THE NL IS THE SUPERIOR LEAGUE NOT FILLED WITH THE WUSSY DH.
Sooze now only has to do 97 percent of the posts.
No shit Sussman. I'm dyin here!
KICK ASSsssss Love the Ladies... and having Tex join babes is like a match made in baseball heaven.
The NL is far superior to the AL and thank god we've got Texas here to represent.
I'm crossing my fingers we can turn this into an epic NL vs. AL battle. At least the NL folks know our pitchers can swing away.
Woo hoo, go, Melly! Represent that NL, girl.
Good to see some National League love going on around this joint. ;)
Good to have the Sox fans back on top as far as numbers here.
When is the Swimsuit Calendar coming out?
