You Can't Get An MRI On Your Ego (Updated)

After getting roughed up in two straight starts, Boston Red Sox veteran Curt Schilling was sent back to Beantown to get an MRI exam on his right shoulder, which came out A-OK.

The 40-year-old righty hasn't been himself during his last two outings, surrendering 11 earned runs and 19 hits in just 9.1 innings pitched, lacking his usual velocity.

Schilling, 14th on the career strikeout list with 3,086, fanned not a one Monday night against the Atlanta Braves - for the first time since 1993. He allowed 10 hits in just 4.1 innings, his second-shortest outing of the season.

* Schilling is headed to the 15-day DL due to soreness in his right shoulder, even though an MRI found no structural damage. He received a cortisone shot and will rest as Josh Beckett starts in his place this weekend.

These guys (Schill, Randy and Roger) are getting too old to pitch. Bottom line.

Agreed, anonymous. They're all having body-part issues.

Are you suggesting he's a faker?
