Bringing Sexy Back

For the ladies...

The Oakland Athletics reinstated outfielder Mark Kotsay from the 60-day disabled list yesterday, much to the joy of Lizzy's and my ogling.

Kotsay opened the season on the 15-day DL following microdiscectomy surgery on his lower back in mid-March. He was then handed off to the 60-day DL at the end of April and began a rehab assignment with the AAA Sacramento River Cats a month later.

Kotsay hit .270 in 10 minor league games, making seven starts in center field and three at designated hitter. In his first big league game of the season last night against the Minnesota Twins, Kotsay went 1-for-4 with a strikeout.

With right-fielder Milton Bradley back from an injured hamstring, the A's finally have their projected starting outfield available for the first time all season. They still have nine players on the DL, however.
