Monday's Babelicious Scoreboard
Carlos Delgado had three hits and two RBIs for the New York Mets, who overshadowed Ryan Howard's three-run bomb and roughed up the Philadelphia Phillies' struggling bullpen in the first of 18 meetings between the division rivals. The Mets rallied in the eighth when Moisés Alou and Shawn Green lef off the inning with singles off Geoff Geary (0-1), and a walk to pinch-hitter Julio Franco to load the bases with one out.
he hot-hitting Jose Reyes then drove in the tying run on a botched Jimmy Rollins grounder, leaving the bases loaded. Geary's run-scoring wild pitch gave the Mets the lead before Carlos Beltran hit a sac fly against Jon Lieber. David Wright added a two-run double, and Alou made it 11-5 with a two-run single - his first RBI as a Met.

oh ponson, my little friend. after the second, i turned to the boyfriend, smirked, and asked, "do you think he's going to drink a pitcher of margaritas after the game? do you think he should have drunk them before?"
i guess we'll be seeing garza sooner than we all anticipated.
After last night, my opinion on Sid is that he's not only an angry drunk, but a terrible pitcher. Here's hoping he shapes up, cause Garza had done even worse in AAA.
