King Felix Dethroned
Felix Hernandez left his start against the Minnesota Twins Wednesday night with tightness in his pitching elbow in the first inning - a much bigger concern for the Seattle Mariners than their dramatic 5-4 loss.
The 21-year-old phenom recorded just one out, but was charged with three runs before being pulled "for precautionary reasons". He will be re-evaluated Thursday. Hernandez left the stadium before the end of the game, leaving fans with flashbacks of Francisco Liriano's elbow injury, which started out as a feeling of "tightness".
Hernandez was coming off a one-hitter against Boston, having given up no runs on just four hits over his first two starts -17 innings - before Wednesday's setback.

That's too bad, I do hope he's alright. But that's all the less competition for Johan in the strikeout category...
and you're right. It did bring flashbacks of Franchise.
I'm sure he'll be fine, but they did the right thing protecting his arm. Was it just me, or did the first inning last like, 45 minutes?
