How Do Ya Like A-Rod Now, New York?
It might have taken over three seasons, but it seems that Alex Rodriguez is finally starting to fit in with the Bronx Bombers and gain some acceptance from their ornery, demanding fans.
As much as it pains me to write this, A-Rod is on a freakin' roll right now. He leads the league with 6 longballs and 15 RBIs... that's six home runs and fifteen runs driven in over just seven games.
He effortlessly lofted a 3-2 changeup from Boof Bonser into the left-field stands for his sixth homer of the season, giving the Yankees an early 2-0 lead last night in their 10-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins at the Metrodome - one of the toughest places for clubs to win on the road.
Skeptics are sure to point out that all this production is coming during the regular season - unlike the 1-for-14 escapade during last year's postseason, when he was dropped to eighth in the batting order for the final game. Rodriguez is batting .098 (4-for-41) without even 1 RBI in his last 12 playoff games dating back to 2004.
So, welcome back to stardom, Alex. You've earned it... I suppose.

Oh, puke.
I know it.
A-Rod is the MAN!!!
Fucker better do it come October though
I second Megs.
Mr. April is right on schedule.
I'm gonna love watching him collapse for yet another year.
I'll care to see what A-Rod does in June...
If he collapses he's staying right here in New York. He'd be a fool to leave here with the stigma of failure attached to him. I bet he'll have a great year and be a WS hero. Then he'll say to NY: See ya!
That's some hot purple passion lip color. Is the Loreal?
