Babes Love Awards

By now, everyone who reads this blog knows that Justin Morneau is up for the Hank Aaron Award. But have we all voted? I sure hope so. If not, it's cool, cause there's still time. Voting ends September 30th. I'm pretty sure you can vote however many times you want, so you should probably devote an entire day to it. Or not. You can even be entered to win 4 tickets to a World Series game if you so choose, which would come in kinda' handy when the Twins make it there. *Ahem. VOTE HERE.

Why vote, you ask? Mainly because Morneau kicks ass.

How much tail does he kick? This season he has 31 homeruns, 104 RBIs (leading the league with 44 2-out RBIs), with 255 total bases. He has walked 38 times and struck out 69. His on base percentage is at .369 and he's slugging .593. His season batting average is a comfortable .316. Morneau has been one of the many fires under the Twins' cute little rears since June 8th.

It's time to get a new face on the Hank Aaron Award wall. Click here to see the past award winners since it's debut in 1999. It would be pretty badass if Justin Morneau could join that list this year.

I'll admit to not knowing Morneau was up for the award. But oh, how he should get it.

Wouldn't that be awesome?! He deserves it for sure. The sad thing is that if Morneau was on a more "famous" roster (i.e. New York or Boston) he'd have it hands down. I think that if he can help get Minny into October he has a better chance of receiving this or the MVP, for that matter.
