J.T. Snow to Host Charity Golf Classic in October
J.T. Snow is hosting a charity golf event next month, and we think you should check it out.
The first annual JSY Golf Classic, hosted by the (adorable) former San Francisco Giants Gold-Glove first baseman will be held Monday, October 24, 2011 at the beautiful Blackhawk Country Club Lakeside Course in Danville, CA, home of the LPGA Tour CVS Pharmacy Challenge.
The tournament benefits Snow's charity, the Jack & J.T. Snow Fund. Snow, along with his father Jack and sister Stephanie, created the foundation in an effort to raise funds for the research and awareness of Wolfram syndrome, a rare genetic disorder which causes diabetes mellitus, optic atrophy, and deafness as well as various other possible disorders affecting the brain and central nervous system. Snow's niece, Raquel, was unfortunately diagnosed with Wolframs in October of 2010.
Proceeds from the tournament will help ensure a richer and longer life for children affected by this neurological disease. For more information on this event and other ways to donate, contact Jennifer Commer via email or by phone at (310) 597-1814.
